Cancel Silverleaf Resorts
Many timeshare owners are now seeking to cancel Silverleaf Resorts timeshare contracts. Reasons for canceling Silverleaf Resorts memberships include rising maintenance fees, finding out that what they were promised at sales presentations is not included in the contract they signed, and discovering the truth that their Silverleaf timeshare is actually worthless as an investment.
As well, many people wish to cancel Silverleaf Resorts timeshare contracts because they do not want their children and/or heirs to inherit liabilities that could cost them thousands of dollars each year. While most of us hope to leave behind something of value to our children when we pass on, few of us want to leave our children another bill to pay.
Silverleaf resort fraud claims are certainly on the rise. Regardless of how you feel you were treated by your Silverleaf timeshare salesperson, the situation may have arisen whereby you are no longer able to pay for your Silverleaf resorts timeshare mortgage, maintenance fees or any special assessments that may have been charged to your account. While there are many owners who do not feel they were victims of a Silverleaf resorts scam per se, they may have found that due to health reasons, inability to travel due to scheduling or simply a change in life priorities makes it no longer wise to keep their timeshares.
Getting out of a Silverleaf resorts contract can be difficult, and finding assistance from a timeshare cancellation company that you can trust to fulfill their promises is essential. Rather than sacrificing your credit rating and good name by abandoning a Silverleaf timeshare, you should take steps to get out of your timeshare contract in a 100% legal and permanent manner. Hi. My name is Amber Benavidez, and me and my fiancé, Roger Gilbert, would like to share our timeshare nightmare. We feel that Silver Leaf Resorts has committed fraud against us, and we feel like we became victims of their deceptive sales tactics.
We feel like we were told a series of lies by Silver Leaf Resorts, which got us to sign this contract under a deception that we would be making a great investment. They told us that this deed that we were buying into had equity built in, so it would help our credit. We were told that we would have ownership of any Silver Leaf Resort from now until a lifetime, and that ownership would be passed down to our children. We were told that the deed we had was grandfathered bonus time in, so we’d be able to stay free at any of the Silver Leaf Resorts Sunday through Thursday and only have to pay $50 a night Friday and Saturday.
When it all came down to our new owner’s orientation, it was revealed to us that we had a biannual membership, which means that we’d only be able to use that bonus time three months every two years. We also found out that there was monthly maintenance fees that lasted a lifetime that went up every year, and that when we passed on that our children would have to pay those monthly maintenance fees.
We found out the hard way, it’s very, very hard to get any bonus time with our blue membership that we had, and in our new owners orientation, all they tried to do was upsell us to another, more expensive membership. We feel like Silver Leaf Resorts is very unfair. They did not make themselves available to us so that we can cancel our membership within the six day time frame.
We feel that we just want to warn everybody to stay away from them. Don’t go to any presentations. It’s not going to be 90 minutes. In our case, it was five hours. We were exhausted. We were not in the right state of mind, and we made the biggest mistake of our life, and we just really want to get out of this nightmare and out of this mess and warn anybody else and save them and their families from making the same mistake.
